Trint Attends ONA17 in Washington DC
October 4, 2017

Each year, the Online News Association (ONA) Conference brings together some of the best and brightest minds in digital media together under one roof. ONA17, which takes place from October 5'7 in Washington D.C., aims to inspire conversations about the latest trends and best practices in digital media. With 3,000 attendees, it's the biggest and most important journalism conference of the year.

ONA17 features a star-studded lineup of speakers who represent the top minds in journalism, publishing, and media today. Leaders from Bloomberg, The New York Times, The Economist, Storyful, and Twitter will be hosting sessions on everything from Building Trust in Online Communities to How Bots are Deepening Relationships with Readers.

We're very happy to announce that Trint will be participating. CEO Jeff Kofman's panel will take place on Thursday, October 5th at 1pm ET in Washington Room 6, adjacent to the Midway.

How do you get the most out of your content?

After a career as an award-winning foreign war correspondent, Jeff started Trint because he noticed that the technology powering journalism and content marketing was improving everywhere except transcription.

Naturally, Jeff has had a lot of time to think about how reporters, newsrooms, and companies can squeeze the most out of their content without relying on manual transcription and the tedious, time-consuming pause-and-play method of notetaking that most people still rely on.

Here's the billion-dollar question every reporter and newsroom producer is still trying to answer: How do you maximize the value of your journalism with fewer resources in a multi-platform world? How do you get the most out of your media, in less time, for much less money?

Managing a constant crunch of new content

In his ONA17 session, Jeff will cover a lot of ground. He'll discuss topics like how to surface the best material out of a content glut, how to guide readers to the best value-added content on a daily basis, and how to take the work you already have and make it accessible and discoverable.

Jeff will be hosting the session with co-speaker Austin Smith, CEO of Alley Interactive, a digital studio that specializes in software development, data visualization, audience research, user experience, visual design, and strategy services. Everyone who attends will get a 360-degree view on how to maximize content ROI for both journalism and digital marketing.
